U.S. President Joe Biden reacted on Friday to news that a commuter bridge in Pittsburgh, Pa., had collapsed, saying that the 50-year-old bridge was one of many in that city in need of repair. “Across the country there are 45,000 bridges in poor condition. It’s just simply unacceptable,” he said.
