The Calgary parents of a developmentally and physically challenged man have pleaded guilty in a case that put his life in danger. Their 27-year-old son was severely neglected, and when assessed by doctors, was found to be malnourished, dehydrated, in acute liver failure, suffering from hypothermia, pneumonia and ulcers.
