COVID-19: WHO looking into animal susceptibility to virus as Hong Kong culls small infected animals

World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 technical lead Maria Van Kerkhove said on Tuesday that the WHO has been working with global experts and partners to look at animal susceptibility to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It comes as Hong Kong authorities said they will kill about 2,000 small animals, including hamsters, after several tested positive for the virus.
