Toronto Mayor John Tory said Monday that the city would be invoking a “major snowstorm condition” to help in the snow removal process and will last at least 72 hours. He said on certain routes, this could mean cars that have not been moved recently may get a “friendly tow” to allow plows to better remove snow. The snow will also be fully removed once plowed and taken to a safe location to melt over time.
