Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam laid out on Monday the groups prioritized in accessing Pfizer’s antiviral pill for COVID-19 treatment after it was approved by Health Canada. The groups include immunocompromised people, those 80 or older whose vaccinations are out of date, those 60 or older living in rural or under-served communities, and those from First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities whose vaccinations are out of date.
