As the COVID 19 pandemic continues, the Opioid crisis gripping Peterborough shows no sign of slowing down. There were 44 suspected opioid-related deaths in 2021, a stark jump from the 10 reported just five years ago. Dr. Thomas Piggott, Peterborough’s Medical Officer of Health, joined Global News Morning Peterborough to raise awareness about the issue.
