Lawyers for former U.S. president Donald Trump were in court Monday trying to persuade a federal judge to toss three lawsuits filed by Democratic lawmakers and Capitol Police officers, which are asking for Trump to be held liable for the Jan. 6, 2021 riot. The judge is not expected to issue a ruling right away.
