World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called on countries to join the global campaign to vaccinate 70 per cent of every country’s population by mid-2022. He said that vaccine equity was the biggest failure of the past two years and that while some countries are administering fourth booster shots for their citizens, others have no access for vaccine for their health workers.
