Capitol riot: Garland says Justice Department ‘committed’ perpetrators responsible

U.S. Attorney Merrick Garland said Wednesday that the Justice Department committed to holding all people involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol responsible, “whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy.”
