Manitoba’s chief nursing officer Lanette Siragusa said on Thursday the province’s ICU numbers remain elevated “well above” pre-pandemic baseline capacities, and that unvaccinated individuals “continue to drive the numbers in our care.” Siragusa added that people who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are 26 times more likely to be admitted to ICU.
