The bells of St. George’s Cathedral in Cape Town, South Africa rang out on Monday and people laid flowers outside the building in honour of archbishop emeritus and anti-apartheid leader Desmond Tutu, who died at the age of 90 on Sunday. Cape Town Archbishop Thabo Makgoba announced on Monday that Tutu’s funeral will be held on New Year’s Day.
