During Thursday’s session of question period in the House of Commons, Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole accused Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland of “misleading” Canadians online, comparing her to former U.S. president Donald Trump, after having a tweet flagged as “manipulated media.” A Liberal Party spokesperson told Global News Sunday evening that they disagreed with Twitter’s assessment of the video tweeted out, and are seeking an explanation from them.
