Petition calls for Surrey mayor to pay own legal fees in criminal case

Saying the mayor has conducted too many closed meetings, Surrey Connect council members have boycotted a hastily called in-camera council meeting this afternoon. As Catherine Urquhart reports, it comes as a petition is launched to persuade the city not to cover Mayor Doug McCallum’s legal bills in a criminal charge he’s facing.
