‘We must learn from our past’: Hinshaw on not repeating past mistakes with Omicron COVID-19 variant

Chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw speaks about Omicron and how each new variant of COVID-19 forces health agencies to change their assumptions about the disease and how to deal with it. She said the province moved too quickly to reopen while Delta was surging over the summer and fall, and that mistake can’t be repeated.
