Mark Meadows faces contempt of Congress charges as texts reveal push for Trump to condemn storming of Capitol

Former president Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows is facing a possible contempt of Congress charge for refusing to cooperate with the committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 storming of the Capitol building. Meanwhile, new text messages he had shared before ending his cooperation show Fox News hosts and Donald Trump Jr. pushing Meadows to get the former president to condemn the storming as the incident was taking place.
