Manitoba Deputy chief provincial public health officer Dr. Jazz Atwal said Wednesday that after speaking with the patient and conducting contact tracing, officials have determined there is “no risk to the public” after the province’s first case of the Omicron COVID-19 variant was detected. He said no further information about the case would be provided as a result.
