During Tuesday’s session of question period in the House of Commons, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino was asked about what Canadians without smartphones, unable to use the ArriveCAN app upon travelling back into the country, could do rather than quarantine in a hotel for 14 days amid the spread of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus. Mendicino replied the country will “not compromise when it comes to health and safety.”
