U.S. Rep. Illhan Omar gets choked up discussing incidents of Islamophobia she’s experienced since entering Congress

On Tuesday, United States Rep. Illhan Omar held a press conference denouncing Islamophobia, following comments made by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (R). Omar outlined incidents of Islamophobic behaviour she has faced since entering Congress, including a fellow member joking on her first day that her hijab could be used to hide C4 explosives.
