Winnipeg Blue Bombers play-by-play voice Bob Irving was honoured by the City of Winnipeg on Monday with a community service award from Mayor Brian Bowman. The 680 CJOB personality, who has called Bombers games for almost 50 years, will be hanging up his microphone and retiring after the Bombers take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday.
