Dr. Joss Reimer, medical lead and spokesperson for the Manitoba COVID-19 vaccine taskforce, said on Thursday that she was celebrating the “hope” and “optimism” the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines for kids aged five to 11 brings. She said while the wait for the approval of the Pfizer vaccine for kids may have been difficult for parents, it was essential to ensure no steps would be missed in the review process.
