Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced on Wednesday the introduction of Bill C-2, which she said would extend previously announced programs as well as “deliver more targeted support” to businesses and workers facing COVID-19 pandemic-related challenges. “The time has come to adapt support measures to these new and improved circumstances,” Freeland told reporters.
