Mark Richards, Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney, said on Friday that he was “very happy” with the verdict after a jury acquitted Rittenhouse, who fatally shot two men and injured another during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisc. on Aug. 25, 2020. Richards also told reporters the defence team decided to have Rittenhouse testify after they tested two versions of their case before mock juries, one with him testifying and one without.
