Isotopes extracted from nuclear reactors are being increasingly used for some of the most cutting-edge and life-saving medical procedures and diagnostics. Many of these critical tools still come from abroad, but that’s starting to change, with Durham Region poised to provide a domestic and international supply. Albert Delitala reports.
