Astroworld crush incident: Houston police chief says report about security guard ‘pricked’ by needle not accurate

Houston city police chief Troy Finner said during a Wednesday media briefing that the report that a security guard had told medical staff someone had “pricked his neck” prior to a deadly crowd surge at the Astroworld music festival was inaccurate. Finner said the guard’s statement to police was “not consistent” with such a report.
