The Quebec government has an ambitious goal to create enough spaces in the province’s publicly-funded daycare network for every child who needs one to have a spot at $8.50 a day. Striking daycare workers were paying close attention to what the minister had to say on Friday, during a two-hour debate at the National Assembly. As Raquel Fletcher reports, they didn’t hear what they were hoping for.
