The RCMP has closed its Lethbridge detachment and is now operating out of its new building in Coaldale, marking the first time since 1886 that Mounties have not called the downtown home. As Erik Bay tells us, it’s a move that was necessary, but ends a longstanding chapter of the city’s history.
