NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman explained on Monday that current Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was absolved of any wrongdoing following an investigation by the league into the 2010 Kyle Beach sex assault allegations against then-Blackhawks video coach Gary Aldrich because “he didn’t know and he didn’t have access to the information,” Bettman said. The NHL investigation done by the law firm Jenner & Block found Beach’s allegations were largely ignored by the team.
