Cobourg woman celebrates 95th birthday with ride in motorcycle sidecar

A Cobourg, Ont., woman marked her 95th birthday with her first-ever ride in a motorcycle side-car.
The ride for Dorathy Marie Harnden was a surprise gift courtesy of her daughter Melindah Knott, fulfilling a promise her father had made when he retired. However, her father Cliff died in 2001.
Knott posted on Facebook looking for help and Terry Bell in Cobourg volunteered with his 2013 Ural – a Russian-made motorcycle.
He took Harnden for a 20-minute commute around the town.
She enjoyed the ride, noting she “saw a lot of Cobourg I’ve never seen for years.”
Harnden has five children, none grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
