The Russian Ministry of Defence said it prevented pirates from hijacking a civilian ship in the Gulf of Guinea area of the Atlantic Ocean on Oct. 25. The Russian Ministry of Defence said the pirates retreated from the ship upon arrival of the unit, fleeing at high speed toward the coast. Video footage released by the ministry, shows an anti-terror group on board the container ship freeing the crew from their hiding spot.
