Canada’s minister of environment and climate change, Jonathan Wilkinson, said Monday that a new report jointly drafted by Canada and Germany indicates that developing countries will achieve or “overachieve” their goal to raise $100 billion USD by 2024-25 to help poorer countries fight climate change. However, he said the same report shows the OECD failed to meet its climate financing goal in 2020.
