NDP MP Charlie Angus on Monday called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to replace Carolyn Bennett as minister of Crown-Indigenous relations, stating that Bennett has “failed the test of reconciliation” with how she has handled legal proceedings against St. Anne’s Indian Residential School survivors. Angus said Trudeau needs “to have someone new at the table.”
