U.S. ‘much safer’ now than before Afghanistan war, says former special representative

On Sunday’s episode of CBS’ “Face the Nation,” former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Amb. Zalmay Khalilzad said, Americans “are much safer than we were before we went to Afghanistan” but notes the U.S. needs “to keep an eye on the situation.”
