Turning 18 meant that Nate’s funding for his Speech and Language sessions from the government’s At Home Program would end, and help through assisted living would not start until he turned 19. Variety provided a grant for Nate, which meant he will be able to maintain his SLP sessions, and not lose any of the progress he has made.
