Despite escaping the Taliban’s takeover in their home country, some Afghan interpreters who helped the Canadian military are stuck in limbo, as they wait for word on getting asylum status in Canada. Crystal Goomansingh spoke to Jawed Ahmad Haqmal, a former interpreter for the Canadian Forces, who is stuck in Ukraine and fears time is running out for his family.
