Owner of popular White Rock restaurant dies of COVID-19

A longtime owner of a popular metro Vancouver restaurant has died from COVID-19. John Caroll started the iconic Charlie Don’t Surf on Marine Drive in White Rock back in 1985. A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page says Caroll “lost a hard fought battle” with the disease on October 7.
