Hundreds of volunteers donated their time on Friday to help clean up an oil spill off the coast of California’s Huntington Beach. According to Cal OES, 5,544 gallons of crude oil have been recovered in Orange and San Diego counties and approximately 172,500 pounds of oily debris has been removed from affected shorelines.
