Canada’s small and medium-sized businesses are waiting for the federal government to announce an extension to pandemic benefits, set to expire in three weeks. The wage and rent subsidy programs can be extended until mid-November, but anything beyond that will require parliamentary approval. Mike Le Couteur looks at the anxiety that’s causing.
