Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor to U.S. President Joe Biden, said in an interview on CBS’ Face the Nation it was “too soon to tell” whether it would be safe for Americans to gather at Christmas. He added the U.S. had to try and get the number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations down, saying “we can do it” by getting vaccinated.
