White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked on Monday about China’s release of the two detained Canadians, Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor. Psaki said the U.S. has an independent justice department from China, but the country did help push for their release. “That’s certainly positive news and good news,” she said of their return home.
