Afghanistan’s health-care system ‘on the brink of collapse:’ WHO

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke in Geneva on Thursday after having visited Afghanistan, warning that the country’s health-care system is “on the brink of collapse” and that 20 years of “significant health gains” are now at “severe risk.”
