The CEO of Ofgem, Britain’s independent energy regulator, Jonathan Brearley said was reassuring lawmakers of the country’s energy supply when the lights in the room he was speaking from turned off on Sept. 22. Brearley was quick to explain: “It’s movement-sensitive lights to save energy … just to reassure the committee.”
