Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on Monday appeared to take aim at protests set to take place at hospitals across Canada against COVID-19 restrictions, saying if re-elected the party would make it a criminal offence to obstruct access to various health-care buildings such as hospitals, vaccine clinics and abortion clinics. He also said they would make it a crime to intimidate or threaten health-care workers or people seeking health-care treatments. He added that it was “not right” for these workers to face violence, intimidation or fear when they’re trying to keep people safe and alive.
