Canada election: Trudeau says he would would make it crime to block hospitals, intimidate health-care workers

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on Monday appeared to take aim at protests set to take place at hospitals across Canada against COVID-19 restrictions, saying if re-elected the party would make it a criminal offence to obstruct access to various health-care buildings such as hospitals, vaccine clinics and abortion clinics. He added that it was “not right” for these workers to face violence, intimidation or fear when they’re trying to keep people safe and alive.
