Canada’s top doctor says vaccine mandates helping uptake, impact on spread of COVID-19 ‘remains to be seen’

Canada’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Theresa Tam said Friday that provincial mandates on COVID-19 vaccines are having an impact with more people scheduling appointments for first doses, but she said it “remains to be seen” if they’re having a direct impact on stopping the spread of COVID-19.
