Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole was pressed repeatedly on Sunday about gun control plans, after his party promised to withdraw a Liberal bill that created additional background checks for gun licence applicants and a ban on 1,500 firearms. O’Toole told reporters his party will maintain the ban on assault weapons and will maintain the restrictions put in place in 2020 on weapons such as the AR-15.
