Will B.C. offer a third booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is asked by a reporter at Tuesday’s briefing if B.C. will follow provinces like Alberta and offer a third COVID-19 booster. Henry says health officials have been studying data, and people with specific immune-compromising conditions will benefit from a third dose. She also says they are looking at the impact of the third dose on long-term care residents and if protection based on the interval time between vaccines will eliminate the need for a third dose for the broader population.
