White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Tuesday that the U.S. has “enormous leverage” over the Taliban, as it continues to seek a diplomatic solution in its efforts to evacuate Americans still remaining in Afghanistan who wish to leave the country. Psaki named “access to the global marketplace” as one of the major pieces of leverage the U.S. maintains over the Taliban.
