U.S. President Joe Biden said on Monday that he has instructed the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to authorize the use of surveillance drones to assess the damage to energy infrastructure in U.S. states hit hard by Ida,. Biden said he’s also ordered the Department of Homeland Security to make satellite images available that might assist in assessing damage from the storm.
