Speaking on Monday ahead of the deadline for U.S. troop withdrawal, Army Maj. Gen. William “Hank” Taylor said more than 122,000 people, including 5,400 Americans, have been evacuated from Afghanistan. The last U.S. troops are due to pull out of Kabul by Tuesday, after they and their allies mounted the biggest air evacuation in history.
