O’Toole dodges questions on candidate who raised concern over ‘climate lockdown’

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole dodged questions and did not distance himself from comments made by longtime Conservative MP Cheryl Gallant after she claimed to constituents that the Liberals were preparing for a “climate lockdown.” Despite multiple questions, O’Toole instead spoke about his party’s recovery plan, which contains its own climate change plan, and criticized Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau for having “never delivered” on a climate change target.
