Todd Nessman, wildfire operations manager with the BC Wildfire Service, confirmed on Thursday that a firefighter was injured battling the White Rock Lake fire in the Okanagan, after falling down a steep slope which was reported to be “upwards of 100 feet.” Nessman said the firefighter was driven to a hospital, adding that injuries were not “as serious as initially feared.”
